Let’s discover the joy in gobbling up math!! I’m beginning my 19th year as a facilitator of learning for 4th graders! Nine and ten year olds are amazing, and they have a love for learning. I have been with Round Rock ISD for 15 years. Math was a struggle for me when I was young. During my freshman year of high school, an amazing coach/math teacher who guaranteed me fresh view of math if I’d give his class a try. That was a turning point for me. Later in college, it was some of my highlights in my college studies!
Three years ago, I was accepted into a new program, Next Generation Digital Classroom (NGDC). We are a 1:1 classroom using Chromebook, along with coordinating Google Classroom for our assignments/task.
Personally, I have three grown children. With my children, I am blessed with eight grandchildren, ranging in age of 19-twins that are 2 1/2. My oldest grandson will soon celebrate his first year in the USMC. He is completing his MOS (schooling) and will soon be assigned a duty station. During the summer, I try to find time to spend with them. This summer we made a 3,400 mile trip to Virginia to spend the 4th of July with my Marine.
As another year is soon to begin, I am excited to share more math and use new ideas!
